On Saturday 12th November 2011 many British people from all walks of life made films of their day as a record of what life is like in the UK. Snippets from these films were made into a documentary which I watched the other day.
I found the film fascinating. It showed how eccentric we can be as a nation and also how varied our country is. It covered all aspects of life tinged with happiness and tears. From the gentleman who was dying to see his last wish, to the Welsh man walking around with his cross and to Lola with her beautiful sweet singing voice who at the day didn’t want to go to bed but to the library really made me smile.
It affirmed that life is precious and we should make the most of it. By recording our experiences we can touch others in life and become part of history. Blogs are a bit like that almost like a Mass Observation snapshots of what is going on in our world.
I know you may be a bit late to watch the programme but catch up on You Tube when you can.
So that’s my snapshot done for this week. My plan for the rest of the day is to finish the Bramble Wood Vest – hopefully I’ll be able to post a picture of it next week.
