Well there’s been great excitement in the gluten free world since McVities announced gluten free Hobnobs. Ever since I heard about them I’ve been keeping my eyes open for them. Today I saw them in Waitrose 😀
For £2.19 you get 8 chocolate covered Hobnobs. OK so a bit on the pricey side but remember biscuits are treats. So as far as a treat goes what are they like?
They are crunchy and hold well when dunked. They taste very nice including the chocolate. As you know I always do a taste test on the husband. Now hubby is a big biscuit lover. When I texted him earlier to say I had found some he went out to get the normal ones.
Tonight he tried them side by side. He prefers mine. So now it looks like that maybe we could now have one biscuit barrel instead of his and hers…..however yep there’s the price and I must remember that they are a treat.
Apologies for not posting for a bit but as ever this bee has been busy. I’ve been doing lots of knitting trying to use up the stash but then at the weekend it got replaced……blame Yarningham for that.
I went to Yarningham as I wanted to learn drop spindle spinning. I had a kit but had no success learning via YouTube. Plus it was my birthday a couple of weeks back so Happy Birthday me. 😉😂😂
Well I gave it a go but unfortunately with not much success. Kate from Hill Top explained that in order to perfect something it takes around about 1000 hours……..yep I know what you are thinking.
Anyway I’ve tried a few times since the weekend and well still not getting the hang of it. I’m not sure even if I want to persevere with it. There’s a lady who spins at one of my knitting groups that I’m going to speak to…..and well we will see what happens from there.
If you want a nose at my attempt I’m the Lady in the purple top and you can see it here
