This is a subject that I am interested in as a way of finding ways to bring more of this into my life as a way of helping the anxiety and depression.
Hygge is dead – long live hygge! – http://wp.me/p2vQru-f1
So today is pancake day! Tomorrow sees the start of Lent. I have decided to work the muscle of writing. As well as my blog I keep a diary/journal. I write in it occasionally but I’m going to try and write something down every day as a way of destressing and relaxing. Hopefully it may mean a few blog posts!
I’m also going to try and read more. I was getting back into the habit of reading but have slipped slightly. Hopefully this will help me focus a bit more.
I’ll let you know how I get on.

Some useful advice in this post.
Beautiful as you know I try and do these every once in a while. Just before Christmas I was knitting a scarf that had been requested. Can you guess which team? 😉
I came across an interesting project via Facebook called Sixty Million Trebles and so I have been crocheting granny squares. I’ve made 3 so far but have now run out of yarn…..as in my leftovers (I’ve still got plenty of yarn left for projects 😉) I posted pictures of those within the group on Facebook.
Today I finished a hat. It’s a bit on the small side so I will put it to one side for the shoebox appeal.
I’m on the final stretch of the Northern Lights Shawl I’m hoping to get this finished sometime during the week so I can block it next Sunday.
My plan is to finish this before I cast on anything else. My cast on plans include socks which will be my travelling project and home project will be premature baby hats. A lady at church works at the local unit and says that it’s the only thing they struggle to get. Presently head space is in a good place so hopefully I’ll be able to make them. 😊
If you are a crafter what are you working on?
I have never ever classed myself as a lady beautiful. I am a lass from Yorkshire and we were brought up as women. However over the past year I’ve have been thinking about what qualities make a lady.
One thing it seems to boil down to is a loving kind attitude. Much is being written about Michelle Obama and her daughters as the family prepare to leave the White House. I came across this beautiful article on the advice that the Bush sisters were giving to the Obama sisters. The words are so kind and wise I just had to share!
